Compilation CD Guidelines

1.  If there are multiple writers, at least one writer must be a current CSA member.

2.  Writers may submit multiple songs, but each submission must be designated for one specific category.  You may submit the same song for more than one category, but it must be treated as a separate submission. 
    There must be a separate release form  and processing fee for each song/category combination.

3.  Songs must be appropriate to the theme of the compilation, as determined by CSA.    (please specify which theme you are submitting for).
Songs included on a past CSA CD compilation may not be  submitted again, except in the case of new and different arrangement of the song, e.g. by a different artist, or different style, or  significant re-write.  

4. Songs must be well-produced and recorded to CD-ready, radio-ready quality,  (this can be done on a home studio as long as it sounds well-mixed,  equalized, and mastered).  and the songs must be well crafted as determined by CSA.  MP3 files are not acceptable. Submissions must be on CD.

5.  There is a $18 non-refundable processing fee for each song submitted,  payable to CSA . 
     Add $3 postage if you want a copy of the CD mailed to you.

6.  Songs must be submitted on CD, with lyric sheet, and complete contact information on all   parts  of the submission package.  
     Submissions are non-returnable.  Be sure to:
     INDICATE THE TIME (min:sec) of   your song.   
     INCLUDE your e-mail address on the CD and LYRIC SHEET.
     INDICATE a website address (if applicable) where you would like a link to point

7.  All writers must sign the  RELEASE FORM  and include a separate form for each submission   (click here for RELEASE FORM)

8.  Submission does not guarantee inclusion.  In the event of having more qualified submissions than can be  fit on 1 CD,  CSA will use criteria such as order of submission, song length, length of CSA membership, quality of recording,  and any other criteria it deems relevant to making a final determination. 

9.  CSA reserves the right to adjust these guidelines at any time, and to reject selections which  do not follow all parts of  these guidelines.
