CSA Showcase Coordination
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A
CSA REGIONAL SHOWCASE COORDINATOR ?
Since 1979 The Connecticut Songwriters Association has run Songwriter Showcases, featuring all-original music, in venues throughout Connecticut.
We have done both, ongoing monthly series and one-shot events, in performing spaces, clubs, restaurants, theaters, and churches, providing the songwriting community with opportunities to present their work to audiences across the state. At times, we have had showcases running every week.
If you would like to have a showcase in your area, all we need is a showcase coordinator. The coordinator arranges for a venue and works with CSA to schedule the acts, promote the event and host the showcase. Working with CSA, the coordinator arranges all the terms and logistics with the venue. CSA provides guidance along the way if any questions arise. All the support of the Association is available to you and you have the advantage of acting as a representative of a well known charitable and educational organization, rather than having to approach people as an individual.
CSA will help with spreading the word though all of the organization's communication vehicles, and can provide a deep talent pool of artists who are willing to perform at CSA-sponsored events. There are many formats which we have worked with over the years, and we have a great deal of experience in making a showcase successful.
If you would like to start a showcase in your area, find a suitable venue which provides a good listening environment and CSA will help you
every step of the way.
