BILL PERE BIO INFORMATION:

Bill Pere is an internationally published writer and recording artist, having worked with top music industry figures for almost 40 years. He has songs released on 26 albums including a Grammy. Best known as a songwriter, lyricist, song critiquer, producer, and music educator, Bill speaks and performs at music workshops and conferences across the U.S. His articles on songwriting techniques have been published internationally and are used around the world.

Bill is Executive Director of the CT Songwriters Association and President of the CT Songwriting Academy. He also Founded LUNCH (Local United Network to Combat Hunger), using the power of popular music to produce positive social action, working with thousands of kids to produce shows which have raised almost $1,000,000 for local social services.

Bill is an official judge and critiquer for national and international songwriting and performance competitions, and was appointed in 1995 as an Official CT State Troubadour by the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. In 2003, Bill was named Independent Artist of the Year at the national Independent Music Conference in Philadelphia. Bill is also a recording artist and producer, having released 16 original CD's, and several for other artists across many genres. KAY PERE BIO INFORMATION

Kay Pere is a multi-dimensional music educator, performing songwriter and social activist, whose creative work embodies a message of hope, healing and humanity. Kay enjoys a wide reputation as one of the premier vocal instructors in the Northeast.and beyond.  In this capacity, she has presented  vocal workshops for the Garde Institute for Creativity, the Connecticut Songwriting and Performance Conference, the New England Music Expo, Seattle Songwriters Workshop, and Conferences in Philadelphia, Nashville, Hollywood, Charleston, Boston, Dallas.  She has been the official vocal coach for several multi-state competitions. 

Kay's workshops on balancing creativity with the necessities of everyday life have been presented and well received coast to coast.

As a performer, Kay delivers fresh piano propelled Folk/Pop with soaring melodies, innovative chordal harmonies, and well-crafted lyrics in performances across the US and Canada. She has performed in many nationally known music venues including CBGB in New York City, Avery Fisher Hall, the Shubert Theater, Musicians' Institute, the Clay Center, and many more.

Kay  is Associate Director of Local United Network to Combat Hunger (LUNCH) and a Director of the Connecticut Songwriters Association. Kay’s  CD, “Even Better Than Chocolate”, described in the press as having the “comforting power of a steamy cup of cocoa and cream -- minus the calories, “ was recorded in Nashville with Grammy award winning engineer and producer Michael Hopkins.
